PLEASE Foundation Scholarship
PLEASE Foundation Scholarship Requirements:
- Student must be entering the 8th grade at a college preparatory high school for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Student must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Student must display acceptable conduct and attendance in school.
- Student must be involved in school clubs, athletics, church, community and/or volunteer activities.
- Student must plan to attend college after high school graduation.
- Students standardized test scores must meet the minimum requirements listed below. Each school takes different tests, submit the scores of the standardized test your school administers.
Minimum Standardized test requirements:
- LEAP – Basic or above in all subject areas
- High School Placement Test - 50%ile or above
- ACT Aspire – 50%ile or above
You will be contacted to schedule a parent/student interview ONLY if the scholarship committee has approved your application. PLEASE DO NOT contact The PLEASE Foundation about your application.
- Applications will be accepted until March 21, 2025.

The Joseph McCloskey Schmidt Scholarship
Joseph McCloskey Schmidt, born on August 9, 2004, left a lasting impact on those who knew him until his passing on May 26, 2014. Joseph loved all sports, especially soccer and baseball and was a great lover of art. His infectious enthusiasm and winning smile had the power to brighten any room.
The Joseph McCloskey Schmidt Scholarship is a genuine privilege for the fortunate young men who are recipients of this scholarship in honor of Joseph.
